This patchwork messenger bag or satchel is a crossbody purse which will be made to order from assorted cotton fabrics.

Dimensions (approximate): 25cm x 22cm x 6 cm (10 x 9 x 2.5 inches)

Here is a practical bag, large enough to hold lots, without being massive, and with an adjustable strap so that the bag can be worn across your body or over your shoulder. The maximum length of the strap is approximately 125cm (49 inches) but can be longer if you add a note of the length you require.

The outer fabrics for the bag will be selected from an assortment of batik cotton fabrics and will be backed with fusible interfacing and fleece to provide the bag with a structure

The bag will be fully lined and will have a zipped pocket, a slip-in pocket for a mobile phone and a trigger hook for your keys, so they don't get lost at the bottom of the bag.

I can offer this bag in different combinations of colours which will be similar to those pictured, but not necessarily exactly the same as I use as many offcuts of fabric as possible in order to avoid waste, so some of the illustrated fabrics are in limited supply. The colour combinations are:
Woodland magic: shades of brown, beige, green and blue
Seaside sunrise: shades of turquoise, blue and pink
Riverside medley: shades of green and blue
Autumn medley: shades of orange, brown, red and yellow
Purple passion: shades of purple, pink and navy blue
Rainbow medley: a full range of colours from red, through yellow and green to blue and purple

Generally, I keep my packaging to the minimum required for the safe transportation of your purchase. Moreover, most of it is recyclable or re-usable in order to be as eco-friendly as possible.

I use as much up-cycled fabric as possible when making the bags although I aim to not make the previous use of the fabric apparent in the appearance of the bags. The bag descriptions indicate which sections have been made from previously used materials. I am careful to avoid any blemishes or worn patches. If there is any fading or mark on a bag due to the previous use of the fabric, I will make this clear in the description. Please note that it is due to the use of repurposed fabrics that I can offer my bags at these prices.

Beautiful bag, really practical size: not too small, not too big. This is my second bag, as my first from 4/5 years ago was getting faded and worn, although still structurally sound. Slightly different internal design this time but still great attention to detail, like the keys clip.
